Open the 🎛 sound board button under the audio controls (top right), or from the More menu.

Send a sound

1. Tap the bar at the bottom and choose who hears it. Each person shows whether they are listening (audio on), online with audio off, or offline.
2. Pick a category along the top — each one is a bank of sounds.
3. Tap a pad. It plays on their speaker immediately.

The pad tells you what happened — sent, not listening, sounds off, quiet hours, off hours. Keep hear it here on to hear what you just sent.

Sounds are live only. Nothing is stored, nothing is replayed later, and a sound that cannot play right now is simply dropped — no backlog of horns when someone comes back to their desk.

Control what reaches you

In Settings → Sound board:

• Let contacts play sounds here — off means nobody can, regardless of what they tap.
• Only during scheduled hours — add windows (days plus a start and end time) and sounds land only inside them. With this on and no windows, nothing gets through. A window whose end is earlier than its start runs overnight; matching start and end covers the whole day.

Two things always apply, whatever the board settings say:

• Quiet hours block sounds outright — there is no urgent sound effect.
• Muting a contact silences their sounds along with their messages.

Senders are never told which of your settings stopped a sound.

Limits

Only accepted contacts can reach you, bursts are rate-limited per person, and your playback volume applies to sounds like everything else.

Sounds queue up and play one at a time, never on top of each other. If a crowd all fire at once, your speaker accepts up to about a minute of sound and everyone after that is told the queue is full — so a pile-on stays a moment, not an afternoon. Muting clears whatever is still waiting.
